I have the same problem - no signal, channel, authentication, encryption and network type information.
I have only Active, Mac Address, SSID and Manufacturer informations.

Notebook HP Pavilion dv9880, tested on cards:

Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (standard)
D-Link DWA-643 Xtreme N ExpressCard Notebook Adapter

both the same effect as I wrote.
Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit with SP1.
Polish language version.

I tried to check on other languages in Vistumbler with no effect :(

Thanks

At the moment vistumbler does not have a polish language pack. You are missing information because the output of netsh varies between languages.

To fix this you have 2 options. The First is in (Settings --> Set Netsh SearchWords). The second would be to help us create a Polish Language Pack ( http://forum.techidiots.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=27 )

In either case you need to find out what your netsh outputs. to do this go to the command prompt and type "netsh wlan show networks mode=bssid > c:\netsh.txt" (without quotes). This will dump the netsh data into a file in c:\netsh.txt. Inside the file should look something like this

Code: Select all

Interface Name : Wireless Network Connection
There are 1 networks currently visible.

SSID 1 : camping2
    Network type : Adhoc
    Authentication : Open
    Encryption : None
    BSSID 1 : ba:00:02:b6:97:5e
         Signal : 99%
         Radio Type : 802.11g
         Channel : 11
         Basic Rates (Mbps) : 1 2 5.5 11
         Other Rates (Mbps) : 6 9 12 18 24 36 48 54
What you need to do is find the words for your missing information (signal, channel, authentication, encryption and network type) and either modify them in the settings window or create a language pack
