Re: Vistumbler 8.0 pre 1
The import from Netstumbler does not recognise the WEP on/off setting
As far as I can see the 'FLAG' field contains
WEP ON = 11
WEP OFF = 1
adHoc with WEF ON = 12
adHoc with WEF OFF = 2
Hope this helps
Great product, any chance of a export to Netstumbler function?
Cheers
Mick

Re: Vistumbler 8.0 pre 1
The exported NS1 files aren't valid NS1 files (cannot be used with KNSGEM for example)
pre3 is the last version that works for me without problems. From pre3 to pre9 when a scan is requested an error is generated "Error scanning netsh". The strangest thing is that those versions don't raise this error when run directly from the archive
cheers

Re: Vistumbler 8.0 pre 10
The NS1 files vistumbler exports is actually a Netstumbler Summary file with a NS1 extension. I know it is not perfect cause i'm not completely sure about the format of the file. Also, KNGGEM may be trying to import it as a Binary NS1 file (which i have no idea how to create). Netstumbler imports the file...so you could always import it and export it again.
Starting with Pre4 I swithed the way I scan netsh to make vistumbler more stable. It now creates a file and the reads the file (before it read console output....which for some reason was really unstable). The problem you are having is most likely because there is a space in your vistumbler path. Try Pre 10 to see if it fixes your problem
Pre 10 changes
-Made GPS Compass and GPS details remember size and position
-Fixed Netsh scanning when vistumbler path has a space in it

Re: Vistumbler 8.0 pre 11
-Vistumbler now keeps track of GPS positions and times so it works better with NS1 export (and shows better graphs with knsgem after importing and exporting from netstumbler)
-Times no longer include ms value
-Added New VS1 format that keeps a gps history
This will probrably be the last pre release before I release 8.0 on Friday (Vistumblers is 1 year old on friday )...If you have any problems please let me know
