dead APs

dead APs

i started vistumbler, i selected the wifi card, i pressed start and it find 3 APs but all dead, mine too.
the APs got dead instantly after vistumbler recognize them.
can I have some help?


the gps works.
the wireless interface is "Atheros AR5B97".

a friend of mine got the same behavior with another laptop.

What language is your version of windows. It sounds like its not getting the signal from netsh which could be an incorrect search word (Settings --> Set netsh search words)

If you go to the command prompt and enter "netsh wlan show networks mode=bssid" do you see a signal there?

ah! yes.. i pressed "Guess Netsh Searchwords" under "settings - searchwords", then the software automatically changed all values from english to my language and now it works.
