I just installed vistumbler v9-8,
and when it runs is just keeps complaining:
"no disk in drive F:" (the DVD drive)
Responding "ignore", it does find local networks, but just keeps popping up this error, infinitely...
I've reinstalled twice, same results.
Hints??

Re: w7 startup problem
hmm... I can't think of any reason you would get that error.
The only files vistumbler uses are the files it creates in the Vistumbler\temp folder and the windows netsh command. The only thing I can think of is its looking for a driver file. What does the error you're getting look like? does it only say "no disk in drive F:"? could you post a screenshot?
I use Windows 7 x64 on my desktop and Windows 7 x32 on my laptop. I have not had this issue.

Re: w7 startup problem
Hmm - sunspots?
I tried it just now, a few hours later, and no errors...
It was clearly repeatable before, so I'll just assume some transient in (?) permissions?
On W7 it also causes a system pop-up upon startup due to UAC - asking if I want to allow this program access to the hard disk.
Bothersome... But I'm new to W7 - probably some workaround.
Thanks for the reply, I'll reboot and see if anything recurs.
(great program!)
