Question regarding KML

Post by reef »

First i would like to say i love this program.

So to my problem. I use the swedish file so the out put to KML also include some swedish. The problem is i always get X in google earth even i get about 30-40% "none" crypted and iam guessing the problem is the language.

So is there anything i can do to fix that or is there a problem in my settings?? or is there somethingelse??

I hope you understand my question :)

I include the first row so you can se the names in swedish..

My guess is that there are some problems in the Netsh search words in the swedish language file.

I say this because the following fields have no data

Network Type
Radio Type
Authentication
Basic Transfer Rates
Other Transfer Rates

To create a green check icon instead of a red x icon my program checks to see if Encryption = None and that Authentication = Open. For your Language It would need to be Encryption = Ingen and Authentication = Öppen (at least according to the language file created by Exige).

If you could do the following command at the command prompt "netsh wlan show networks mode=bssid > C:\netsh.txt" and post C:\netsh.txt on the forum i can look to see what the problem is.

Here is how i looks like

Gr„nssnittsnamn : Tr†dl”s n„tverksanslutning
F”r n„rvarande „r 4 n„tverk synliga.

SSID 1 :
N„tverkstyp : Infrastruktur
Autentisering : WPA2-Personal
Kryptering : CCMP
BSSID 1 : 00:1d:a1:91:5d:50
Signal : 61 %
Radiotyp : 802.11g
Kanal : 11
Standardhastigheter (Mbit/s) : 1 2 5.5 11
Andra hastigheter (Mbit/s) : 6 9 12 18 24 36 48 54

I just had a quike look but i looks like a spelling error or?? (autentisering in file autenticering)

„=Ä
†=Å
”=Ö

If you could post the actual file instead of a copy it would be more helpful to me. But from what i see that is your problem. The searchwords in the swedish file do not match what you are seeing from netsh. If those do not match my program will not be able to get the data.

But, If you would like to try to fix it do this

1.) Open "C:\Program Files\Vistumbler\Languages\Swedish.ini"
2.) Look for the section marked [SearchWords]. This should be The Second section
3.) Change any word in this section that does not match the netsh.txt file from above. I would copy and paste directly out of the file because sometimes the special character have problems when typed in.
4.) Save as "Swedish 2.ini" Since I am not sure if there ar regional differences in your language
5.) Load vistumbler and load your new language file
6.) Post if you want to share :)

Looks like your "None" searchword is wrong.

None=Öppen
when it should be
None=™ppen

according to your kml file

I need the netsh.txt from the command "netsh wlan show networks mode=bssid > C:\netsh.txt". Do this command when there is a completly open network in range (Encryption=Ingen, Authentication = ™ppen)

I will use the settings file you posted in the language file section

The problem was actually very simple... Open and None search words where backwards.
