Post by doros88 »

Hi.I installed Vistumbler configure my GPS (Ebon) with NEtComm OCx in my port 5 which its owkring fine.I Scan AP's and use GPS it finds some Lat Long but when i activate
KWM Link it shows me my current position and all the access points are in my position. It doesn shows the Ap's
in the google earth at the positions that i need to know. And the Latitude and Longitude at the
begining are all the same then after a while are starting to change.
Anyone ideas?

AutoKML maps access points to their strongest gps point then highest signal position(not current position).

When your are testing this are you moving? GPS can be very inaccurate if you are staying still. I have seen variations in position of up to 50m. You can try the new "KML Signal Map" to see what the gps vs signal positions are (http://forum.techidiots.net/forum/viewt ... f=33&t=278)

If you could post or PM me a VS1 and KML export I can see if i can find what what is going on

From The signal map it seems like the problem is some access points are getting a random 99% spike (like netsh likes to do sometimes). Because 99% is the highest signal the AP is being mapped at that location. This would indicate it is a network card/netsh problem, not a gps problem

For example, this AP
