Hi folks,

Any reason Emsisoft Anti-Malware detects "UpdateManufactures.exe" as "Trojan.GenericKD.32194654 (B)"

Probably a false positive, but these days you cant be too careful!

My guess would be because it has a packed file inside of it (a file inside a file). From the source code, you can see all it really does is wrap a C# program (macmanuf.exe), which generates a manufacturer MDB file. It then copies the file into the program direcotry

My guess is it is a false alarm. if you see my digital certificate in the properties of the file i think you should be ok (if not the file may have been modified)
