Error Scanning netsh

Post by itz_nsn »

Hi, I am totally new to Vistumbler. ver 8.0 I installed it on my laptop but when i scan for AP its giving the error scanning netsh.

My system config is as follows

Toshiba Satellite L305d Laptop
Windows Vista Home 32 bit OS - English
Atheros AR5007EG wireless Network adapter

I have tried disabling all firewalls etc. Also installed using the admin account. But still the problem persists. My friend is able to detect our home wireless router but it gives me the error(his laptop config is diff though) . Can you suggest anything - is this a compatibility issue? :?

Is that Atheros card an internal adapter or an add on card?

If you go to command prompt and enter "netsh wlan show networks mode=bssid" (without quotes) does it list and access point or give an error?
