Hi,
Don't know if this an issue our the way the software is suppose to work but we use Vistumbler to graph the signal strength of the Wifi network we have just installed in a clients office.
We walk around the clients office floor to show them the coverage of the network then take screendump for the jobfile, but we have recently changed our AP model to ones with Autosense Channel feature which checks the AP is on the Best Channel and if not will to a better Channel. The issue being is if the AP changes channel then Vistumbler adds it as a new AP and the graph starts from scratch again.
Now is there a way to keep the graph going or the selected AP active no matter what the AP channel is changed too.
Your help in resolving the issue is greatly appreciated
Mikey

Re: Graphing Issue
Vistumbler does treat an access point with a different information (channel, ssid, mac, network type) as a different as a separate access point. This would explain what you are seeing. Right now there is now way to change that behavior.
one alternative to the graph may be to export to a detailed csv (you could even use filtering to limit the export to just the access point you want). Detailed CSV will have ssid, time, signal strength and you could see all the channels at once.
