I just realized that vistumbler will be 2 years old on the 11th. (or the 9th is you want to look at the source code instead of the release date)
Vistumbler 1.0 was started when I was on vacation in Hawaii (visiting my uncle to help him wire his internet cafe). It was started because I had just moved to vista and found that there were no other vista wireless scanners. Feeling lost without netstumbler and only finding information on using netsh to get wireless APs I started working on my own program.
While in Hawaii I released v1.0, which was basically a proof of concept. I had no idea how to work with listviews when I started, so it regenerated the list on every loop.

the older releases (v1.0 - v8.1) are still available here http://plone.vistumbler.net/verhist
