Hi ALL,

I was wondering if there would be any difference if the laptop driver is changed from 802.11g to 802.11n. I recently did a drive and encountered some 750+ APs in a particular area (with 802.11n card). This figure is much higher than that recorded for other areas of the city (with 802.11g card). I was wondering if 802.11n can trace more APs? Technically, 802.11n are meant for high data rate, right?

some 802.11n cards can support both 2.4ghz and 5ghz wireless networks where a 802.11g would only support 2.4ghz. This means you may also be seeing 802.11a or 5ghz 802.11n networks when you use the n card.
