Best Hardware to Scan

Post by Forscher187 »

i Want to know what is the best Harware to scan.

i Use the ALFA Network AWUS036H 1000mW + 9dBi Antenna, and just my Laptop and a simple GPS Bluetooth Dongel. with the ALFA Adapter i have Feeling that i found more AP´s becouse of the range but it looks/Feels like he scan only every 7-10Sec. If i use the Build in Wlan from my Notebook "Broadcom BCM4312" i have the Feeling that he scan faster becouse of the AP´s jumping in Vistumbler every eye blink :)

Hmm a friend of mine had the same Alfa card as you, and didn't have any issues.
Andrew might have a better idea of what is going on. He wrote Vistumbler, I just wrote the database  .
