Did a reboot fix the problem? If it did next time in happens see if there is a Vistumbler.exe still running in process manager after you close vistumbler. Maybe GPS froze and the program thinks the port is in use

If you could do the following command at the command prompt "netsh wlan show networks mode=bssid > C:\netsh.txt" and post C:\netsh.txt on the forum i can look to see what the problem is.


If c:\netsh.txt is empty, then that is your problem

I need the netsh.txt from the command "netsh wlan show networks mode=bssid > C:\netsh.txt". Do this command when there is a completly open network in range (Encryption=Ingen, Authentication = ™ppen)

Well, right now i don't export to excel but it is something i could look into in the future. Right now though you can import into excel as a text file and set the delimiter to "|" (without the quotes). That will create a proper excel file

Did 7.2 have this problem? the only thing that really changed from that version was the version of autoit(and minor changes taht shouldn't have affected it). One new thing you may want to check is if (Options --> Graph Dead Time) is enabled, that may cause memory usage to grow

unfortunatly netsh outputs in percent and not dBm. Hopefully if i ever get this to the native api i will be able to do that. Right now I can't. I would not want to make a guess based on percent.

Ok...finally got my static IP to work right... stupid me... I knew it wasn't getting the gateway...but i missed the setting farther down in the network card config file. now its set the way I want...hopefully I can stop messing with the server now

That was not the problem. When i split the string I was using GPRMC. It was just mislabled in the program. I was already looking into this and I think i found what the issue is. To make the program less prone to bad data I specified the lenth of the array. On my other GPS the string made an array 13...

I added a option to allow the drops to be show in the graph. In vistumbler 7.3 check the option (Options -> Graph Dead Time) and it will now show drops.

I also built in the network refresher to make the data more accurate (it crude, but it helps) . (Extra --> Start Refreshing Networks)

From what I could find this did not seem possible in AutoIt. I was able to use a single icon, but I couldn't figure out how to use a second (it qould either be all APs active or all Dead.

I will look into this again at some point to see if i can figure out how to do it

I can attemp to make a test version during the 30 day trial. I don't think it will be this week, but i will try.

The only issue is this Native Wifi does not give all the information vistumbler currently gets from netsh.
