I just remembered that the file that you get to download is just a linker file to URLs that will then return the info that you want. So the file is always going to be 5kb in size. But the contents of the URL should change as APs are imported. Will still take a look at it.

That should be a simple fix, Andrew probably only has the folder as read only or the apache user not have write permissions to the upload folder, will have him take a look into it.

That was also back in 2008 on Vista using a fell branded wireless card so things might be better now than they were in 2008.

No problem. One other thing we noticed is the power level settings for Windows effecting wireless scanning results. Back when we started I would notice that my laptop would only pick up a few APs. I noticed it was in Balance mode. Changed it to high perf and I would be able to see more APs.

Yup that metageek article explains it well. Unfortunately there is no users guode for vistumbler as neither Andrew nor myself have taken the timebto write one yet. We tend to use the forums as a psudoguide for the time being.
